21 polling parties dispatched for Phase-VII at Shopian

Shopian: For phase-VII of the District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-elections, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz Tuesday dispatched 21 polling parties along with election material and Ballot Boxes to their respective polling stations from here.
The poll parties were deployed for DDC Constituency of Chitragam for which election is scheduled to be held on 16 December, 2020 for 01 DDC constituency of Chitragam, 01 vacant seats of Sarpanch.
As per the details 6 Candidates are in fray including 4 for DDC and 2 for Sarpanch seat.
On the occasion, Nodal Officer Covid-19, Dr Shamim distributed Covid Kits, Sanitizers, masks, gloves and other important things related to Covid-19 safety among the polling parties.
The Polling parties were emphasized to strictly adhere to COVID-19 SOPs and also ensure use of masks, sanitizers and uniforms during performing their duties.
Among others District Panchayat Officer, Concerned ROs, AROs, Nodal Officers and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
