Srinagar/Dec,15 : Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Tuesday carried out an anti encroachment drive at entire stretch of Lal Chowk, Gurudwara road, Amira Kadal road, Koker Bazaar , Mahraja Bazaar and adjoining areas.
A statement issued by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation said “the drive was conducted under the supervision of Chief anti encroachment officer Umar Din Who was accompanied by the anti encroachming squad”,adding that ” during the drive the goods displayed by street vendors and shopkeepers outside their shops were removed and seized on spot with the recovery of fine against the violators”.
The statement also said that vendors (Raidiwallas’) too were dispersed by the the officials of anti encroachment squad during the drive and simutaneously asked not to occupy the public space” .
