Sopore: Rashtriya Rifles has organised “A Day with Company Commander” on 13 Dec 2020 with an aim to enhance the informal interaction for breaking the barrier with the children of the Pazalpura area in Sopore.
During the event, 90 children to include 60 boys and 30 girls were shown glimpses of life of Indian Army soldiers and were also shown a demonstration of “flying of Quadcopters and drills of Army Dogs”. The *display of weapons and equipment* used by Indian Army was also organised for the children.
After the demonstration and display, a variety of games to include “Ring the Gift”, “Aim the Bottle” and *Football through the Tyre* were organised for the children. One of the main attractions was the “Jalebi Making Competition” amongst the children who were new to this delicious sweet dish. The children were given return gifts and prizes. They all were very happy and appreciative of this initiative of Indian Army.
At the end National Anthem was sung by children along with Army soldiers with full fervour and zeal.
