Jammu: Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak today visited ACHD Ramban and took stock of the ongoing developmental activities in Ramban farm.
He gave on the spot instruction to the Chief Horticulture Officer Ramban for certain modification in the farm to evolve it as a template for the farmers of the province. He also inspected Hi tech polygreen houses functioning in the Ramban Farm besides the ongoing Civil works and impressed upon for their early completion, He reviewed the progress on physical/financial achievements under various Departmental schemes being implemented in the District during the year.
While interacting with the field staff of ACHD Farm, he instructed them to work hard with zeal and dedication and achieve the allotted targets in time.
During the visit, the Director issued orders for the promotion of five gardeners to the post of Horticulture Technician IV (HTG-IV) and one orderly to the post of Jr. Asstt.
He also instructed Divisional Training Officer, Ramban to incorporate certain modifications in the existing teaching techniques by providing latest techniques / knowledge through videos on budding/ grafting.
Chief Horticulture Officer, Ramban V.K. Gupta, Farm Manager ACHD Ramban, Rajesh Dhar, DTO Ramban and DLSMS, Pardeep Gupta accompanied the Director during the tour.
