Awantipora : Police on Thursday said that one militant associate has been arrested and an authority who it says is linked with Jaish e Mohammad militant outfit.
In a statement issued on Thursday police identified the detained militant associate as Irshad Ahmad Reshi resident of Tral and said that he was
involved in providing logistic support, shelter, transporting of
arms/ammunition & explosive materials in Tral & Awantipora areas.
“Incriminating materials including 10 Detonators, 01 wireless set, 02
wireless Antenna, 01 IED remote and contraband substance (Cannabis
powder) weighing 5Kgs have been recovered from his possession” reads the statement, adding that, “Case FIR number 101/2020 under relevant sections of law has been
registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation into the
matter is in progress”.
