Human Rights- a small term with a larger jurisdiction but never allowed to enjoy it . Human Rights as the term suggests Rights of Human beings which in today’s time have become critical and very rear thing. The rights to humans are enjoyed the way Government of the state or most often how United States of America wants. The First Universal Document, drafted by representatives from different legal and Cultural background was proclaimed in United Nations General Assembly in Praison 10 December 1948. (United Nations General Assembly, Resolution No.217A). It has been translated in 500 different languages. TheArticle1of the same resolution says “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in aspirit of brotherhood. ” Unfortunately even after having a Universal document for Human rights the implementation is still a faraway thing. Blacks are facing discrimination in US,Iran has been crippled by the sanctions of United States of America. Not only Iran but 30 other contries are victim of Human Rights violations because of US sanctions. The counties like Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Burundi, Central African Republic, China(PR), Côted, lovire, Crime Region, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of the congo, Eitrea, Fiji, Haiti and Iraq are some of the countries that have their place in the sanction list of UN. President Woodrow Wilson Democratic Party president of UN tired to use League of Nations (later United Nations) to enforce so called Peace through sanctions. But failed to do so. In the same way as UN was used by US for war against Iraq when it had taken over Kuwait for it’s oil resources. The so called United Nations. Under the pressure of United States gave nod to attack. The 35 Nations came together for operation Desert Storm and surprised Arab world played a crtical role in it. The war ended with Kuwaiti civilian losses: Over 1,000 killed, 600 missing people Iraqi civilian losses: About 3,664 killed. Other civilian losses: 75 killed in Israel and Saudi Arabia, 309 injured. The president at that time was Bill Clinton the same president who has hands red with an operation against Afghanistan known as “Endorsing freedom”. The operation led to destruction and no results and obviously Afghanistan is still paying the cost for freedom. Once I was listening to the lecture of Dr. Israr Ahmed and one of his sentences made me wondering. He said “26/11 was carried out by Isreal because the US was keen in resolving the issue of Palestine and they wanted Isreal to compromise on Jerusalem”. These days Israel a small country in the area which isn’t even it’s own has become an worst example of Human Rights violator and none can question it. Reason being USA take long care of it as it’s most loved child. Jews when were being Butchred like anything in Germany by Hitler ran away and were given some space by Palestinians on Humanitarian basis but with time they become dominant and took over Palestine, formed a state naming it “Isreal” and are now calling people of Palestine as ” Illegal occupaires”. Isreal was recognized by so called Universal Protecter of Human Rights in the year 1948 ( May 14, 1948) and was on same day recognized by Well known human Rights protector ” United States of America “. Back in 2018 Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as capitial of Isreal. Well I will not discuss the whole scenario of Jerusulam as it’s the another topic and has much more connection with the Islamic texture. But as Human Rights are concerned it has a really strong influence. US has very worst record in Human rights violations but they are best at coveringit. Well not going so deep into the role of USA and UN in Human Rights let’s speak about Human Rights in a global context.
With the evolution of time there have been changes in the definition and meaning of Human Rights. At first Human Rights meant better living, eating and housing. This is what the definition of Human Rights was but now it has been defined in a vast manner. Now Human rights include, having better Health facilities ,transport facilities, education system, entertainment, law and order , internet connectivity and at top having better environment to live in. Human Rights are available to all the human beings where Race, caste, creed, colour or sex doesn’t matter. You are a human being you are entitled to Human Rights. No matter which part of world you are you have Human Rights. The top most protection according to me Human rights provides is Right to live. You can’t killed until and unless you don’t committee such crime that entitles you to Death sentence and these days many discussion are going on about banning Death sentence may whatever the crime is. As I already mentioned internet connectivity is also a Human Rights now a days. And Kashmir has been deprived of this human right from 5th of August 2019. On 5th of August the internet was completely shut the limited 2g internet access was allowed and now it has been 1 and half year JK isn’t getting to use 4g where the world is thinking and have began with the preparations of 6g and Mr Ambin has rolled out plan of 5g in 2021 and has also made 2g part of history. With internet connectivity better environment to work in is also a part of Human right but India has failed to ensure it to the farmers of it’s own country. Where the farmers are demanding the roll back and have hit roads massively with massive support pouring in the government of the land is he’ll bound to stand firm on the farms bill. Not only farmers. Dalits in India face the worst form of Human right violations about which I have written in my article “Dalit lives Matter “Which was published in Kashmir Horizon. Let’s hope for the world where Human Rights are available to everyone in the same way as they are enjoyed by a white in US and by a Jew in Israel & Human Rights aren’t used as a weapon to cripple the sovereignty of any country.
