Srinagar/Dec,4: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF ) , Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Friday condemned assault by unknown gunmen on a contesting DDC Candidate in Kokernag area in South kashmir.
In a statement issued here on Friday Hakeem while condemning assault by unknown gunmen on contesting DDC candidate in Kokernag area in South kashmir said that intimidation bid on unarmed civilians was against tenants of all religion. He said in a democratic set up, every citizen has a right to express his thoughts and observations adding that attempts to gag voice of dissent has no place in a civilized society. He said every citizen has a right to dissent adding that voice of dissent can not be silenced through violence and coercion.
