Almighty Allah has blessed this planet with inexhaustible souvenirs. The Sun is placed at such a distance that it is neither too cold nor too feverish. The Earth’s surface has been carved in such a way that it doesn’t keep us clasped to it due to its gravity and it doesn’t repel us so that it retains us in its embrace. The air is present all around us like an invisible saviour. Fresh water and abundant sustenance keep us alive. The day is radiant so that people may work and the night is grey so that we can drowse. Countless stars embellish the night sky. What jewels are to the crown, stars are to the sky. Then, man is a walking wonder. In short, whatever Allah has forged, He has created it in the best way. There cannot be a better manner. Seasons gallop on their perfect times. Nature doesn’t hurry and yet everything is accomplished. Man enjoys all these windfalls. He uses these invaluable resources. No money is mandated in return. Just imagine, like fast-food and clothes, if we need to reimburse for the water and air, how unaffordable the undertaking would be. Allah demands no revenue, no money. All for free. Allah begins the Holy Qur’an with these words: ”Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalameen.” This passage is the first verse of the first chapter. It emphasizes the concepts of thankfulness, acknowledgement, applause, reverence and recognition.
We should not miss being grateful. We should never fail to praise, appreciate and recognise His resources. Let’s raise our hands in humble submission to God and pray “Oh God, You have created everything for us. We can not pay for these gifts. Accept our praises and our tribute. All we can say is a Thank You!”
Almighty Allah gives us all these blessings and bonuses. What does He want in return? He wants a ’thank you’. He doesn’t need anything from us. He sustains us all. He is Lord, the Master of the Universe. All He wants is that man develops a sense of comprehension as to how priceless God’s gifts are. And how unrestricted these indispensable gifts have been given to us. He wants us to understand that all this cannot happen on its own. There is a Supreme power behind the creation of everything who has put everything in its place. We must be thankful to Almighty Allah for everything. We must, now and then, repeat and utter the first lyric of Surah Fatiha. We must develop a sense of gratitude, acceptance, appreciation and acknowledgement. Let’s accept that Allah has done enormous for us. Let’s accept that his miracles and bounties are innumerable. We can not do away with using them. Let’s acknowledge what Allah has worked out for us. Let’s recognise and praise Almighty Allah. We should not miss being grateful. We should never fail to praise, appreciate and recognise His resources. Let’s raise our hands in humble submission to God and pray “Oh God, You have created everything for us. We can not pay for these gifts. Accept our praises and our tribute. All we can say is a Thank You!”
