Baramullah: During these challenging times of COVID -19 Pandemic Army while maintaining a robust posture along the Line of Control, also constantly endeavors to mitigate the challenges faced by the locals of the remote border areas due to the pandemic. Harsh weather along treacherous terrain and difficult ground connectivity further accentuates the problems faced by the locals of these border villages. In one such effort Torna battalion under aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade orgnaised a COVID-19 Kits and Medicine distribution camp at Chautali village of Boniyar Tehsil on 3 Dec 20. The event commenced with a lecture on preventive measures to be taken during pandemic by the medical officer of the Battalion, followed by distribution of medicines, kits and routine health checkup of the children and the elderly people of the villages. A total of approx 600 people attended the medical camp.The locals expressed their gratitude towards Army for organizing the medicine distribution camp despite of the inclement weather conditions prevailing in the area.
