Srinagar: A three-year-old boy who was missing since Tuesday evening was found dead in Chewdara village of Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday morning.
An official said the minor boy had gone missing from his home in Chewdara village on Tuesday evening.
According to the family members, the boy had gone missing when he was playing around his house and since then family had been looking for his whereabouts. “We made announcements on loudspeakers and searched for our son everywhere till the late night hours, we don’t find him anywhere but Wednesday morning we found him dead at the place where we had already searched for him,” they said.
The shattered family of the three-year old boy said that they are totally confused.
“If the whole village was in search of him and everyplace was searched how his body was put at a place where we had already searched. We found the body of our son at Chewdara and Wanihama today morning,” a family member said.
The family members of the deceased boy appealed the district administration to intervene in the incident and conduct a probe into the child’s death. “We want the quick probe in our son’s death and if anybody is found involved in his death, the person should be get hanged,” they said.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that the boy Burhan Ahmad son of Hilal Ahmad Najar was found dead Wednesday morning. “We have registered a case and investigations taken up. Post-mortem has also been conducted and report is awaited,” he said
