Have you ever realized the importance of kindness in your life? Have you ever sensed the outcome of word patience in your life? Somehow, everyone must have realized the importance of being kind and patient in their lives. So why people, even being cognizant about the above fact, fail to adore such qualities? Well, the reason might be the false perception of people regarding the same attributes. As modern world drives its critters to fetch material possessions and hardly provide space for them to acquair those qualities which will groom their inner being and make their life gleeful. It is obvious that a person makes place in the hearts of others by exercising the quality of kindness and patience and not by his social status. Kindness is a quality which helps you establish a trust worthy relationship with others. It makes your life inspiring and productive.
Importance of kindness in life: Being kind doesn’t just mean to show warm welcome to others rather it means to be empathetic and provide aid whenever needed. Kindness helps a person to broaden his cognition thus he becomes able to grasp things more quickly and efficiently. It brightens the life of person and expells him from the depths of misery and pain. The quality of being kind keeps you away from unwanted conflicts and ambiguity. It helps you resolve the intense conflicts with more ease. It makes you capable of developing good Inter-Personal Relationship (IPR). It is obvious that world usually praises your outward qualities but fails to value those qualities which actually benefit it. Kindness is one of the attribute constituted in personality of a person. Some persons are bestowed with labels of “kind” which is absolutely good. Developing a warm and kind environment in your family helps your children to acquire such mesmerising qualities as well.
Kindness in Islam: Islam’s understanding of “kindness” is that all forms of human intentions, desires and requests as well as actions are not limited to physical, material strength or financial power. It has much broader meaning. Islam preaches its believers to display the qualities like goodness and kindness to others regardless of color, shape and size. Since kindness and goodness are the chief qualities which a muslim should harbour. Allah (SWT) encourages the believer to practice kindness by declaring “Compete with each other in performing good deeds”, and advises believers to supplicate by saying, “O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. Kindness is a blessing which Almighty Allah bestows upon his true believers. So as muslims we should practice the said quality which will benefit us in hereafter. Kindness is a quality which decorates the life of a person. It makes life bright and beautiful.
Importance of patience in life: Patience is not mere waiting. It is an attribute of letting your inner desires take hold and restrict to a greater extent. Patience is that quality which helps a person to fix the undesired and complex situations easily. It helps an individual boost his/her inherent qualities like capability, resistivity, bearability. Hard work without patience is worthless. Being patient makes you realize the importance of anything achieved in life. It makes you more competent in life. Patience leads to success. It is obvious that a person attains hights and becomes successful by displaying the quality of patience in his quest. People who have learned to be patient are more likely to hit their target in life. They seldom get deluded by the barricades coming in their path. Patience is what helps them vanquish such obstacles in life and keeps them going. One must always show patience and never get downgraded by the failures as failure is a part of life rather he must show resilience and patience in order to progress in life.
Patience in Islam: In Islam, having patience (sabr in Arabic) comes with many benefits and rewards. Patience is an admirable quality which helps us connect with Allah (SWT), speak and act upon the truth, and to endure with strength through hardships. Islam preaches its believers to be patient always as patience is the one aspect which creates nearness between Almighty Allah and you. Part of sabr is the discovery of truth which is why the patience in Islam is not just sitting at the corner and letting others to pass by.
Tailpiece: So being muslims we should look within, incalculate those qualities in our life which would take us to that path which we are supposed to follow. Always make others feel at ease and try to help others master these qualities as well. Patience and kindness are the qualities which only a blessed person can harbour.
