Srinagar: Promising 100 per cent reservation and 70000 new government jobs for the local youth of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said the party is committed to peace, prosperity and development by politically empowering people of the Union Territory (UT).

This was stated by BJP in its manifesto for District Development Council (DDC) elections in Urdu language which was released by

General Secretary and incharge for Kashmir Vibodh Gupta along with senior BJP leaders including Daraksha Andrabi, Munish Sharma, Arif Raja, Ashok Bhat, Shalinder Singh and Akeel Ahamand in Srinagar.

Mr Gupta said on the occasion that the vision document has highlighted every aspect of life. In our vision document, we have committed ourselves to peace, prosperity and development in J&K by making the people politically empowered, economically prosperous and socially enlightened”, he said.

Launching a scathing attack on “Gupkar Gang”, Gupta alleged that National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress have collectively allied only to save themselves from ouster from power and illegally occupied government lands under Roshni scheme which was meant for poor people.

He hailed the voters of Jammu & Kashmir for historical voting in the first phase of DDC elections when about 52 per cent polling was recorded in 43 constituencies. “J&K voted for better future and against Article 370 and 35A which was the biggest roadblock in the development of UT”, he claimed. He said that BJP has remained stick to it’s ‘Nation First’ policy.

Throwing light on the Vision document, Gupta said that it is pro youth and pro-Kashmiri document. He said that Government has already provided relief to people by abolishing SRO 202. The SRO was introduced during the coalition government of BJP and BJP. He said that Industrial estates are being created in every district where unemployed youth will be given job opportunities. “We will provide 70,000 new jobs soon”, Gupta announced .

He said that the document which has been released in English and Urdu language covers all areas including education, health, agriculture, horticulture, industries, road networks and other developmental projects and such type of pro-people vision is first of its kind released in Kashmir valley.

He said that the vision document also commits to fulfill long standing demand of regularisation of daily wager, casual and contract employees in order to extend maximum benefits to them adding that the administration under the Lt Governor of J&K is already actively examining the process.

Hailing abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A as a second and spirited wave of democracy in J&K Gupta said that BJP has ensured a three-tier representative system under the Panchayati Raj in J&K.

BJP leader also assured people of Kashmir about intensifying tourism activities in the Valley. He said that the Government will change the fate of the people of Valley if they come forward and support their candidates. “Let you come one step and see how we will come 10 steps”, he said assured full support to the youth of Kashmir in changing their fate.
