DGP reviews working of police workshop, Police Hospital Sgr, inspects construction work at Trauma Centre

Jammu: Director General of PoliceDilbag Singh who is currently in Kashmir , Saturday visited police workshop and Police Hospital Srinagar and took stock of the functioning of these units. He also inspected construction work going on at Trauma Centre in Police Hospital Srinagar.

DGP while inspecting the Srinagar Police Workshop and taking stock of its functioning stressed for increase in its capacity and capability. The DGP emphasized for making optimum use of available resources to ensure maximum services to the department. He inspected the vehicles which have been modified by the workshop with additional safety features.

The DGP interacted with the Police technical team deputed at the workshop and complimented them for their efforts in improving the safety requirements for the personnel on ground. He also inspected different units of the workshop and stressed upon them to work with more dedication in providing necessary services to the personnel and the department. He announced cash rewards for the personnel deputed at the workshop.

The DGP said that the police workshops are of great importance to the department as they have to ensure repairs and upkeep of the departmental vehicles used for transportation of the men and machinery under all circumstances and in different situations. He impressed upon the officers of the workshop to arrange/conduct skill enhancement workshops/courses for the mechanics of the unit.

SSP workshop, Srinagar S D Choudhary briefed the DGP regarding working of workshop and different assignments under progress in the workshop.

Later, the DGP visited Police Hospital Srinagar and inspected the under construction building of the Trauma Centre and stressed for early completion of the building. The DGP while interacting with the Medical Superintendent of Police Hospital Srinagar stressed for providing better health care to the police personnel and their families.

Medical Superintendent of Police Dr. Bilal Raja apprised the DGP regarding the functioning of the hospital and health care facilities available at the Hospital.
