Junaid Matoo re-elected Mayor SMC, thanks corporators for support

Srinagar/Nov,25: Former Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Junaid Azim Matoo was on Wednesday one again elected Mayor SMC as he won the election with 44 Corporators voting for his candidature again seven corporators voting for his rival Sheikh Imran.
Confirming his re-election as Mayor SMC Junaid Azim Matoo took to micro blogging social networking site twitter to thank the corporators for reposting faith and trust in him as he wrote “What a humbling, emphatic verdict! We have touched the 2/3rd majority mark! Thank You to my fellow Hon’ble Corporators and the people of Srinagar for your trust and faith again. Together we will all serve Srinagar and take it to new heights!”While Junaid Azim Matoo is known for deserting two mainstream parties National Conference and Peoples’ Conference one after the other, his rival and one time Deputy Mayor SMC is a known bank defaulter undergoing trial in Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
