Land Transferred under Roshni Act: DC Rajouri reviews progress on expunging of mutations

Rajouri: District Collector Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Monday reviewed the progress made regarding the expunging of mutations registered under Roshni Act and eviction of state land here at a meeting of Revenue Department.
The District Collector sought a detailed report from the concerned officers with respect to the progress achieved on the expunging of mutations and eviction of state land in the areas of their respective jurisdiction.
The District Collector the revenue officers to ensure implementation of the Government order in letter and spirit.
The District Collector emphasized on coordinated efforts of all concerned in compiling the details and their submission within the given timeline. He also instructed them to submit reports on encroachments removed so far and present status of the land.
He also directed the revenue authorities to expunge all the entries of the other state land encroached in the district as early as possible and retrieve the encroached land from the offenders.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohd Ashraf, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other revenue officials.
