Aijaz Khan seeks intervention of Advisor, Secy FCS&CA, Dir Kashmir for resolution of pending demands of workers

Srinagar: The CAPD Employees Association Kashmir sought the intervention of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Ahmad Khan, Commissioner Secretary to Government Simrandeep Singh and Director Bashir Ahmad Khan over the resolution of all pending demands of thousands of worker employed in the department
In a statement issued on Monday the President CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Aijaz Ahmad Khan said that though employees, fair price shop dealers and casual labours of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department have worked to the utter satisfaction of Consumers, but their key demands are pending for a long time.
Saying that the said workers have gained the goodwill of common masses but Unfortunately, despite showing such endeavor, their long pending genuine demands are being unresolved, Khan said employees, Fair Price Shop dealers, Hamaals and other contractual workers, associated with this department are in the state of depression.
He said that though authorities associated with the department are trying to nurture the work culture and induce transparency but they are ignoring the genuine demands of these hardworking sections of the department. “Neither, the department has been re-organized up to the mark nor have been the Fair Price Shop Dealers and other casual Labours been regularized”, Khan said, adding that “primarily, no wastage of Food grains is being specified for the field Staff and even DPC is not being called timely.”
He also said that neither have the authorities taken serious note on unloading bills nor have they asked for pay anomaly of these diligent employees. “The authorities have miserably failed to compensate the damaged food grains that were damaged in 2005 Earthquake and 2014 Floods”, said Khan, adding that “these demands were time and again brought to the notice of higher authorities who termed the demands genuine and legitimate but the assurance were confined to words and actions assured are awaited”.
He said the CAPD Employees Association Kashmir once again appeals the authorities especially Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Ahmad Khan, Commissioner Secretary to Government Simrandeep Singh and Director Bashir Ahmad Khan to resolve these issues at the earliest, so that the thousands of workers, who are employed in the department get the sigh of relief. Aijaz Ahmad Khan President of the association also appealed the employees working in the department to promote unity and work for the betterment of common people. Khan also said that associate won’t hesitate to launch a struggle if these demands are not full filled.
