Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg Saturday inaugurated signature campaign for Child Line 1098, a project supported by Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, here at DC Office premises.
The aim of the signature campaign is to raise awareness on Child rights, care and protection.
It was informed on the occasion that any person can dial toll free number 1098 round the clock to help any missing children, abused children, run away children or children in need of medical assistance.
Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for holding such awareness campaigns in rural areas also.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Project Coordinator, Child Line, District Information Officer participated in the signature campaign.
