5-year-old Bandipora kid wins gold in Wushu

Sopore: A five-year old kid from Sumbal town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has won a gold medal in 10th District wushu championship here in Bandipora. Five-year old Emaad Hassan Son of Tahir Hassan Chilkey from Inderkote Sumbal won the gold medal in the wushu championship organised by District Wushu Association Bandipora.

Talking to Kashmir Horizon, Tahir called it a great moment for him.
He said Emaad was admitted at a local academy named Ali’s Sports Academy in July and was trained by the trainees to whom he said he was thankful for Emaad’s achievement at such a tender age.
The championship was organised by District Wushu Association Bandipora under the guidelines of Wushu Association of J&K.
The championship kickstarted on November 19 and around 230 players of all age categories from different parts of district participated.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad gave away the prizes among the wining players at the prize distribution ceremony .
