Budgam(Khansahib):Maintaining that ongoing DDC and Panchayat bye elections in Jammu and Kashmir was an opportunity to teach a lesson to divisive and communal forces , Chairman People’s Democratic Front PDF Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen Thursday called upon the people to come out in larger numbers to vote for PDF candidates. He has urged the people to give massive mandate to secular parties and honest candidates who have proved thier dedication for public service in past.
Giving fillip to election campaign in Gurwaith, Reyaar Beerwa, Reyaar Haeph areas in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday Hakeem Yaseen made a fervent appeal to people to give befitting defeat to divisive and communal forces during the ongoing DDC and Panchayat bye elections to protect age old secular credentials of Jammu and Kashmir. He said ongoing election process has provided a golden opportunity to the people to defeat evil designs of communal and anti kashmiri forces who want to divide Jammu and Kashmir on the basis of religion and region. ” So it was necessary for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand united against machinations of communal parties adding that If we fail to deafet them at this crucial juncture, posterity will never forgive us”‘.
Hakeem said that people should vote for candidates of those secular parties who have honesty tried to rendered public service in past despite all heavy odds. He said coming DDC and Panchayat bye elections were imperative for Jammu and Kashmir for its socio- political survival as well as for equitable and need based development at gross roots level. He cautioned the people against nefarious designs of hardcore communal forces who want to divide communities to satiate their communally and hate political agenda. He urged the people to stand gaurd like a rock to protect centuries old traditions of brotherhood, communal harmony and secularism which are the hallmark of Jammu and Kashmir’s composite and pluralistic ethos.
