Weekly Block Diwas prog held across Jammu divn

Jammu : The weekly public outreach programme under the aegis of Block Diwas was Wednesday held in all the districts of Jammu division where the district administration teams listened to the people’s issues.

 At Doda

The Block Diwas events were held in Doda, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar which witnessed active participation of locals from across the seventeen blocks of the district. The teams of Different departments along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied services to the people and listened to their grievances. As many as 213 grievances/applications were received during the program, of which 207 were addressed on the spot, while  50 category certificates, 312 Domicile certificates and 47 different revenue papers were also provided to the people on spot.

At Reasi

District administration Reasi under the headship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Wednesday listened to public issues here at Mahore during Block Diwas programme. The locals and people of the surrounding Panchayats of block Mahore, Gulabgarh and Chassana highlighted their problems and developmental needs. BDC Chairpersons Sahida Parveen, SDM Mahore, Santosh Sukhdeva and officers of line departments were present on the occasion. Several issues related to Water, Power, road, transport, ration, ICDS, Nutrition, education, health were resolved on the spot  and for several other issues  the ADC fixed timeline for their resolution. Similar events were also held at Reasi, Katra and Arnas where locals apprised about their problems to the sectoral officers.

At Samba

District Administration, Samba organised   Block Divas at block development office   Baribrahmana. Several local issues raised during the programme were disposed of with the intervention of senior govt officers and representatives of Panchayat institutions. Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra  accompanied by officers from Revenue, Social Welfare, Education, PWD, PHE, Municipality and other line departments listened to the public grievances. On the occasion, 53 domiciles certificates, 02 category certificates and other revenue certificates were issued.

 At Kishtwar

District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma along with team of officers   chaired the block divas at block headquarter Drabshalla. The event was held with the observance of all COVID-19 protocols and witnessed the participation of over 200 persons. Several grievances raised by the people were redressed on the spot. The DDC urged the PRIs to sensitise the locals about the SOPs and the other guidelines for prevention against  COVID-19.  On the occasion, 50 domicile certificates and other individual beneficiary oriented certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries.  Similar Block Divas Programmes were held at other designated block headquarters of the district.

At Kathua

District Development Commissioner Kathua O.P Bhagat presided over a Public grievances redressal camp at Basohli. SSP Kathua,  Shailendra Mishra, ADC Basohli,  Tilak Raj Thapa, District and  sub- district officers were also present. Scores of deputations from Basohli and adjoining blocks met DDC and apprised him their problems and demands. On the occasion, officers of Agriculture, Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, FCS&CA,  PMGSY, PWD, PDD, PHE gave details of progress made on already registered grievances of the people. Earlier, the DDC inspected the medical and police check post at Atal setu and reviewed the status of  Inter-state movement of people/ passengers.
