Concealing legitimate demands of employees, contractual workers, sheer ignorance of Govt: Aijaz Khan

Srinagar : The amalgam of all the Departmental Organizations and an acting Umbrella Organization, Employees Joint Consultative Committee Kashmir under the Chairmanship of Chairman EJCCK Aijaz Ahmad Khan in a meeting on Wednesday said that concealing the genuine demands of lacs of Employees and Contractual workers is a matter of introspection and termed it the sheer ignorance of the Government and the top helmsmen in Jammu & Kashmir Government.
In his statement Khan said that instead of appreciations to these hardworking Employees, the Government is ignoring their legitimate demands. The meeting was held on Wednesday in the Office chamber of Chairman EJCC Kashmir Aijaz Ahmad Khan, which was attended by the prominent leaders of 18 departments. Among others the meeting held under the chairmanship of EJCCK Aijaz Ahmad Khan was attended by Shiekh Aijaz, Khwaja Sajad, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Beigh, Khalid Mehmood, Javid Ahmad Akhoon, Malik Ghulam Hassan, Mohd Younis Matoo, Farooq Kawa, Rehmatullah Khan, Shiekh Majid, Showket Nowsheri, Aashiq Hussain, Tasleema Subhan, Khizr Mohd Sogami, Ghulam Nabi, Abdul Raheem Shah, Mushtaq Sofi, Sher Ali Shera, Abdul Qayoom Beigh and Kumayl Haider participated in the meeting. In the meeting, the issues faced by the Employees and Contractual workers were discussed threadbare. The orders passed by the Government recently were keenly discussed and termed as most unjust and unfamiliar as the long pending demand of regularization of Contractual workers is yet to be fulfilled.
Talking to the veteran leaders, the Chairman EJCCK Khan assured prompt action and redressal of all the long pending genuine demands of Employees and Contractual Workers. It was also decided at the meeting that the organizational framework of the Employees Joint Consultative Committee EJCCK will be extended to the districts and tehsils of J&K. It was unanimously decided that the legitimate demands of Employees including Daily wagers, Contractual Workers, Casual Labours, Aangan Waadi workers, Helpers and the Fair Price Shop dealers of Food Supplies Department will be seriously taken up with the government. In his statement Khan also said that the government employees have always nourished the work culture in the Government departments and the Government should fulfill their long pending genuine.
Chairman EJCCK Khan emphasized on the revocation of Order No. 324, which is against the rights of Employees. He urged for timely DPC’s in all the Government Departments and appealed the Heads of all the Departments to conduct DPCs in their respective departments without delay. Khan also demanded establishment of CAT (Central Administrative Tribunal) in Srinagar so that the cases of employees are heard at the earliest for immediate resolution. In the ebd Khan welcomed all the forums who work for the betterment of Employees and ensured full support of EJCCK to the unified platform that will work for the rights and demands of the employees. EJCCK has already nominated 6 members, who will join the meeting to be held in Jammu on 23rd November.
