Kulgam: District Panchayat Election Officer, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Tuesday chaired a meeting of Officers designated as Election Nodal Officers (ENOs) to take stock of preparedness for DDC and panchayat by elections.
He also took a detailed review of all arrangements which have been put in place to conduct free and fair elections in the district.
Later DPEO chaired a separate meeting with representatives of political parties (RPP).
During the meeting the members were briefed about the arrangements which are being put in place to conduct the elections smoothly.
DPEO highlighted various features of upcoming DDC and bye elections and appealed to the representatives of various political parties to refrain from any activity which violates MCC (Model code of conduct).
