DEO Ang reviews election preparedness

Ang: The DEO (district election officer) Anantnag, K. K. Sidha Tuesday reviewed the preparedness for upcoming DDC elections and Bye-elections 2020 of ULB, Panchayat at a meeting with the Nodal officers of the District appointed for various activities associated with the said elections.
The DEO directed ACD Anantnag, who is nodal officer for Training Management to ensure that training for EVMS and Ballots is imparted properly to the polling staff. He said that the master trainers should be available till election results are announced. He also directed him to thoroughly sensitize his polling staff including BLO’s, ARO’s, and RO’s for preparation/ updation of electoral rolls, training etc.
The concerned nodal officers were also directed to install hoardings, banners etc at proper places with messages highlighting the importance of elections with active participation of people. Moreover, the concerned officers were directed to ensure basic minimum facilities (BMF’s) viz drinking water, electricity for specially abled/ aged voters with proper marking for voter queues at the polling stations.
CMO Anantnag was directed to ensure provision of proper medical facilities to polling staff, voters etc amid strict observance to covid-19 protocol.
