Bandipora: For phase-II of DDC and Panchayat bye-elections, 89 nomination papers were received for Ganastan and Nowgam blocks of the district on the last date of filing of nomination papers on 16th November (Monday).
After scrutiny of nomination papers none of the nominations was rejected here Tuesday for phase 2nd of DDC and Panchayat by-elections.
Meanwhile, a total of 28 nomination papers were received for upcoming phase-II of DDC elections, 15 filed their nomination papers for vacant Sarpanch seats and 46 filed their nomination papers for vacant Panch seats before the Returning Officers.
The last date for withdrawal of candidature for the phase-II is 19th November, 2020 while polling is scheduled to be held on December Ist, 2020.
