Srinagar: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad AltafBukhari on Saturday expressed deep concern over the rising incidents of border skirmishes in J&K and pleaded for an immediate cessation of hostilities between the two neighbouring countries.
An official statement issued here said that Bukhari was addressing a joining ceremony wherein prominent political activists from Srinagar, Ganderbal and Kupwara districts joined Apni Party at its office in LalChowk Srinagar.
The Apni Party president observed that the cross border shelling in Uri, Keran, Dawar, Nowgam and other forward areas in North Kashmir that has resulted in huge loss of lives yesterday has turned the situation grim especially for border residents.
Bukhari said that the inhabitants of border areas are the worst sufferers of the hostility and bitter relations between the two neighboring countries and the government of India must take all the measures including speedy construction of concrete bunkers to ensure the safety and security of their lives and properties.
On this occasion, prominent political activists like Syed Mohammad Ashraf Andrabi, Syed MudasirAndrabi from district Kupwara, Tariq Ahmad Ganaie and a number of his associates from Shalpora district Ganderbal and Raja Aftab from Rawalpora district Srinagar joined Apni Party.
The joining took place in presence of Party president Syed Mohammad AltafBukhari, party senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir, state secretary and district president Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, district president Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, media advisor Farooq Andrabi, provincial secretary NazirDailgami district president Bandipora Syed ShafatKazimi, provincial secretary Abdul Rashid Haroon, zone president AmirakadalAijaz Ahmad Rather, Javed Ahmad, MuzaffarReshi, Khalid Rathore and Salman Butt.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad AltafBukhari observed that the new entrants will infuse a new spirit in the party cadre in their respective areas.
Speaking on this occasion the new entrants affirmed to contribute for strengthening of the party at its grassroots level so as to redress the grievances of the people.
