Srinagar: Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Friday expressed grave concern over the killing of several civilian and Army personnel in border shelling across multiple sector of Uri,Nowgam , Dewar,Keran along LOC in northern Kashmir. He said loss of precious human lives in border skirmishes, almost on daily basis, was most unfortunate.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Hakeem while expressing his concern over the loss of precious human lives of civilians and Army personnel along LOC in North Kashmir on Friday called upon both India and Pakistan to shun theirr egos and resolve all bilateral issued through reconciliation and dialogue the only way out to end bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir. He said war is no solution to resolve bilateral issues adding that sooner or later the two nieghbouring countries have to come on negotiating table.
He said India and Pakistan have fought three wars in past which caused only death and destruction across the borders. He said “whole of the sub- continent was on the nuclear flashpoint due to animosity between India and Pakistan on Kashmir issue”, adding that “ it was imperative for long lasting peace in the region that the two countries bring flexibility in their approach to resolve all outstanding issues amicably through the process of reconciliation”. He also that in case the two nieghbouring countries take measures to establishfriendly relations, the heavy budget allocations for defence and artillery purchases could be spent s on the welfare of people across the borders.
