Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir Thursday convened a meeting regarding adherence of COVID 19 guidelines by transporters, here.
On the occasion, the ADC urged upon the transporters to collect fares from the passengers at the rates fixed by the government. He advised them to ensure that COVID-19 guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that the passengers could travel safely.
The ADC directed the concerned officers to ensure that the people park their vehicles at identified places established by the administration.
The meeting among others was attended by Tehsildar Handwara, Representatives of ARTO Kupwara, Municipal Officer and officers from police and civil administration besides Presidents of Bus and Tata Sumo unions.
