DPEO Kupwara orders deployment of Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates

Kupwara: District Magistrate (DM) also District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today ordered deployment of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates for smooth conduct of phase Second of elections for District Development Council constituencies and vacant seats of Sarpanchs and Panchs in the district.
The Sectoral Magistrates have been asked to maintain close liaison with Zonal Magistrates and their police counterparts and furnish daily reports of their respective areas to District Magistrate Kupwara, Vis-à-vis Zonal Magistrates, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers.
The deployment of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates for phase first has already been made.
The DDC constituencies which are being contested in the first phase include Kalaroos, Kralpora and Tangdhar while the constituencies of Ramhaal and Redi Chowkibal are in the second phase.
There are a total 14 DDC constituencies in the district for which 8 phase election is in full swing.
