Srinagar: Acting tough against the drug dealings, Police in Srinagar have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
Officers during patrolling in the Jurisdiction of PP Chanpora arrested a notorious drug peddler at Natipora Chowk identified as Umar gull @ Boba Dar resident of Astanpora Natipora Srinagar. During checking, officers were able to recover 720 capsules of banned drug Spasmoproxyvon from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Sadder where he remains in custody.
A case FIR No. 264/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation has been initiated.
Police in a statement has appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood and warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
