Ganderbal: Police in Ganderbal received various complaints about cheating and duping by a Gold Jeweller Aijaz Ahmad Zargar resident of Ibrahim Colony Theeru Ganderbal regarding which cases vide FIR No. 43/2020 of PS Kheerbhawani, FIR No. 226/2020 and FIR No. 227/2020 of PS Ganderbal have been registered.
In a statement issued on Saturday Police said that on 21st October this year PS Kheer Bhawani was approached by one Noor Mohammad Zargar resident of Ibrahim Colony Theeru Ganderbal stating that his son Aijaz Ahmad Zargar who is running a Gold Jewellery shop under the name and style of “Chinar Jewellers” at Duderhama Ganderbal is missing since 20/10/2020.
“A missing report was registered and search was launched to trace the missing person and during the course of investigation, it came to fore that the said missing person have cheated a good number of people from Ganderbal and other adjoining areas and duped their hard earnings and absconding in order to evade legal action” reads the statement.
The police in it’ s statement said that on November 6 he was traced out and arrested in already registered case by PS kheer Bhawani, adding that further investigation into the matter is going on.
