DPEO B’pora issues notification for Phase-II of DDC elections, Panchayat by-elections

Bandipora: District Panchayat Election, Officer (DPEO) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Friday issued notification for second phase of Bye-Elections to Panchayat Election-2020 for the vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats of the Panchayat Halqas and District Development Council Constituencies of blocks of Bandipora district including Block Nowgam and Ganstan
According to the DPEO, the last date for filing nomination is 16 November 2020 while date of scrutiny is November 17th. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 19 November 2020. Polls shall be held on 1st December 2020.
The nomination paper in respect of both vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats can be obtained free of cost from the office headquarters of concerned Returning Officers.
For Panchayat Halqa Zalpora and Gadakhud, the nomination papers shall be available at HSS Gadakhud while for Ganstan-A, Ganstan-B, Odina-A and Dangerpora nomination papers shall be available at HS Ganstan or HSS Gadakhud
For the election of District Development Council in second phase of the polls in these two blocks, last date for filing nomination papers is 16 November 2020 while 17 November 2020 is the date of scrutiny. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 19th November while these constituencies will go for polls on 1st December 2020.
The nomination paper in respect of DDC members can be obtained free of cost from the concerned Returning Officers from their Office headquarters as indicated below.
For Nowgam block nomination papers shall be available at HSS Nowgam while for Ganastan the papers will be available at HSS Ganstan.
The nomination papers shall be duly filled up in the office headquarter of Returning Officers concerned or at designated ARO office or in the office of ARO (HQ) located at Mini Secretariat DC Complex Bandipora.
