DIC Pulwama organises training prog for registration on GEM portal

Pulwama: District Industries Centre (DIC) Pulwama Wednesday organised an online training program for registration of MSME units on GEM portal here.
During the program, a detailed training on procedure of online GeM registration was imparted by the business facilitator GeM (J&K) to the unit holders.
The unit holders were stressed upon by the attending officials to register themselves on GeM portal which would enable them to be part of a national level platform to sell their products.
The organisers briefed the unit holders that GeM portal facilitates online procurement of common use Goods and Services required by various Government Departments/ Organizations and PSUs aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement by providing e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation.
Business facilitator GeM (J&K) gave a detailed presentation about registration of MSME unit holders on GeM portal and the procedure they would have to follow to supply their products to Govt departments.
After the meeting the unit holders discussed matters related to Tax payment with officials from Tax department.
Among others, the training program was attended by officials from DIC Pulwama, Tax Department and prominent MSME unit holders from district Pulwama
