Police celebrated Rastriya Ekta Dewas across valley

Srinagar: Police celebrated Restriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day across valley.
In Awantipora, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Awantipora. SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country and making it as present Independent India. The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police, Armed Police, CRPF, SSB, & SDRF.After the Parade an event “Run for Unity” was organized and flagged off by SSP Awantipora in which more than 102 participants participated. The “Run for Unity” started from DPL Awantipora Crossing to Y-junction Barsoo and back to DPL. The “Run for Unity” event was followed by prize distribution and refreshment was also served the participants.
In Shopian, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Shopian. ASP Shopian Arif Amin Shah took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country and making it as present Independent India.
The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police & Armed Police.
In Kupwara, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Kupwara. ASP Kupwara Ifroz Ahmad took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country and making it as present Independent India. The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the various contingents of Police and security forces. C.O 162 Bn CRPF, C.O 98 Bn and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
In Ganderbal, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at Qamaria ground. SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the importance of National oneness and paid rich tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country. The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, BSF and Home Guard. ASP Ganderbal Feroz Yehya and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
In Budgam, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Budgam. SP Budgam Amod Ashok Nagpuri took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He said that the Iron Man of India devoted his entire life to the nation & welfare of its people.
The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police & Armed Police.
In Pulwama, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Pulwama. SP Pulwama Ashish Mishra took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the importance of National oneness and paid rich tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country.The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police, Armed Police and CRPF.ASP Pulwama Tanveer Ahmad and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
In Sopore, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Sopore. SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country and making it as present Independent India. The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by various contingents of Police & security forces. After the Parade an event “Run for Unity” was organized and flagged-off by SSP Sopore in which participants from all age groups participated. The “Run for Unity” started from Railway road Amargrah to Seer Crossing. After the conclusion of the Run for Unity, the presentation ceremony was held at Railway Station Sopore. On the presentation ceremony, SSP Sopore in his brief address to the participants appreciated them in making the event successful. He also appreciated the enthusiasm shown by very young kids, who were also part of the event. The “Run for Unity” event was followed by prize distribution among the participants.
In Bandipora, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Bandipora. SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the importance of National Unity Day and exhorted upon the jawans and officers to contribute positively to the society in eradication of various social evils and maintain communal harmony.
The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by various contingents of Police & security forces.
After the Parade an event “Run for Unity” was organized and flagged-off by ASP Bandipora in which 500 participants from all age groups participated. The “Run for Unity” started from S. K Stadium Bandipora to Patushay Bandipora.
After the conclusion of the event, the presentation ceremony was held at S.K Stadium Bandipora. On the presentation ceremony, SSP Bandipora in his address to the participants appreciated the enthusiasm shown by every participant, who were part of the Run for Unity, and in displaying their commitment, spirit to complete the run.
The “Run for Unity” event was followed by prize distribution among the participants. Among the top winners, Gulbadan Hikmatyar of Lar Ganderbal won the first prize of cash Rs 10,000, Umar Farooq Bhat of Hazratbal Srinagar won the second prize of cash Rs 5000 and Umer Hamid of Sheikhpora Budgam won the third prize of cash Rs 3000. Similarly, in girls Muskan Shabnan won the first cash prize of Rs 5000.
In Handwara, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Handwara. SP Handwara Dr.G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He said that the Iron Man of India devoted his entire life to the nation & welfare of its people.The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police, Armed Police & CAPF. At conclusion, SP Handwara interacted with the NOKs of Police Martyrs and expressed his sympathy with them, He assured them every possible help whenever required.
In Anantnag, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Anantnag. SSP Anantnag Sandeep Choudhary took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the importance of National oneness and paid rich tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country.
The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police and Armed Police.
In Kulgam, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Kulgam. DySP DAR Kulgam Sheikh Tahir Amin took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country and making it as present Independent India.
The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the various contingents of J&K Police, Armed police, CRPF and Home Guard.
In Baramulla, Police celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Baramulla. SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom took the salute on Parade and administered oath of unity to the police officers and Jawans. He also highlighted the importance of National oneness and paid rich tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the country. The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents of J&K Police and Armed Police.
