DPEO Kupwara convenes election meeting

Kupwara: District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Anshul Garg, who is also District Panchayat Election Officer Saturday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for upcoming Panchayat By-Election of vacant Sarpanch, Panch and District Development Council seats.
The meeting discussed various issues and arrangements for smooth conduct of election in the district.
The DDC gave directions to the concerned officers to finalise the lists of polling Stations and polling locations with all basic facilities available there and submit the same within two days positively.
The directions were given for updating electoral rolls also.
Speaking at the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to work in tandem and extra coordination to yield better results at ground level. He also directed them to make sure that all the process is done in a free , fair and transparent manner.
The Deputy District Election Officer Kupwara, Bashir Ahmad Bhat gave a detailed summary of activities regarding the election process.
Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, concerned officers and officials were present in the meeting.
