PAGD condemns JK Govt for putting up a blockade outside Farooq Abdullah house , calls it “interference” in religious affairs

Srinagar/Oct,30: The Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has condemned the Jammu and Kashmir Government for putting up a blockade outside the residence of the President PAGD Dr. Farroq Abdullah, a three time former Chief Minister and incumbent Member Parliament from Srinagar parliamentary constituency .

In a statement issued here on Friday the PAGD spokesperson Sajad Gani Lone said that
Dr Farooq Abdullah was slated to go to Hazratbal to participate in the religious congregation on the eve of Eid e Milad Un Nabi (SAW) but he was barred from leaving his house to attend the Friday congregation on the eve of Eid e Milad Un Nabi(SAW) .
“We strongly condemn the actions of the Jammu and Kashmir Government which is tantamount to interference in the religious rights of Dr Farroq Abdullah. This marks a new low in the curtailment of fundamental rights of the people of J and K. We demand that the blockade be removed so that Dr Farroq Sahib is able to perform his religious duties”, the statement reads.

The PAGD in it’s statement has also condemned unequivocally and unambiguously the brutal killing of three workers of the BJP.
“Political differences cannot justify use of violence. Violence has always and will crowd out sanity. We will always fight aggression in all its forms irrespective of the source of aggression”, said the statement issued by Sajad Gani Lone.
