Handwara: Handwara Police Thursday under the banner of “Police Martyr’s Memorial Sports Festival” organized a cultural program at Police Lines Handwara.
The event was inaugurated by Dy SP DAR Handwara Ab Rakeeb Malik under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Handwara Dr. G.V Sundeep Chakravarthy. Besides officers from CRPF, SSB, Civil administration, prominent citizens and youth also witnessed the event. Singers, artists, dancers etc participated in the cultural program. At the outset of the program, one minute silence was observed to remember the courage and valour of our brave martyrs who have laid their lives for the unity and integrity of the Nation as well as in protecting the life and property of the people.
The motto behind holding such program by Handwara Police was to move a step towards the betterment of society for creating general awareness among the people and to provide a platform to the young budding and enthusiastic artists by showcasing their talent. At the end of the cultural program, Dy SP DAR Handwara distributed commendation certificates and Trophies among all participants. Handwara Police also thanked the artists, media persons and the people who joined and made the program successful.
