Srinagar: Director School Education Kashmir Mohammad Younis Malik Wednesday resolved the long pending issue between a private school Devki Arya Putri Patshala (DAPP) and parents of children studying in the said private school.
The Director said the school shall continue to function as it was functioning in the past years and if need arises, the present management can be substituted with a new management committee in order to streamline the educational scenario of the school.
Following pouring of complaints regarding the issue, Director School Education had called the school management, staff of the school and parents of children studying in the school to his office where he listened to the grievances of both sides.
The Director said the issue was resolved after threadbare discussion with the management and the parents and it was further decided that the department shall consider the opinion of the management accordingly.
He said it was also decided that the management shall continue to operate both academically as well as administratively.
Keeping in view the rich legacy of the school in uplifting the educational profile of girl students, the Director assured every kind of support to the parents of children studying in the school and the management in running the institution smoothly.
Pertinent to mention that there was a dispute between the parents of students and the management of DAPP School resulting in the academic loss to the students.
The school is presently having an enrolment of 416 students with 23 teaching and non-teaching staff members. The school is having registration up to 10th class.
