Int’l Exhibition of Art by Women Artists to be held

Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu is organizing an International Exhibition of Art by Women Artists- 2020 Online between 1st- 21st November. The exhibition is dedicated to Late (Prof.) N D Sharma, a leading literary & intellectual personality of Jammu & Kashmir. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, National Gaklery of Modern Art, New Delhi on 1st November, 2020. One hundred and eighteen art works by female artists of ten countries viz. Bangala Desh, Australia, USA, UK, Turkey, Sweden, Central America, Doha (Qatar), Canada and India (20 states/ UTs). The exhibition is curated by O P Sharma, Founder Director Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu.
According to O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA, ‘The exhibition is scheduled for participation of art by women artists keeping in view the role of female artists taking part in artistic activities in a large number and that should be recognized by the organizations working for the development of their artistic pursuits.’.
The exhibition is divided in to three sections viz. Invited Artists, Artists from Abroad and Selected Artists sections. The artists included in the Invitees ‘Section include Raj Bharti, Jammu, Chandana Khan and others.
It may be recalled that Jammy & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) is a prominent NGO in the state of J&K working uner Pt. Kewal K Sharma, President JKCCA. The organization integrates itself with the functions of visual arts, literature and performing arts.
