Beerwah(Budgam): Aspiring politician from Beerwah Budgam Javed Beigh visit areas of Beerwah block of Beerwah constituency and met a gathering of people from the local civil society in a grand function, which was held at the home of Ghulam Ahmad of Poonch Gund Beerwah.
Beigh, while interacting with the members of the local civil society stressed upon the importance of participating in DDC elections that are scheduled to be held after the recent amendments to local Panchayati Raj Act that has created another tier of directly elected representative body at a district level to plan and implement development work in such districts. The said function was also attended by a senior political leader Aga Syed Mohsin amd many other leading members of the civil society of Beerwah .
Javed Beigh also visited homes of political leaders of Charangam Beerwah and inquired about their health and wellbeing. Beigh also visited the family of Nazir Ahmed Ganai of Sodipora Beerwah, who passed away last year in an accident caused due to electric shock, while performing his official duty. Beigh appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and provide government job to the widow of the deceased on compassionate grounds under SRO-43, so that she can take care of her family, which include four young children. Lastly, Javed Beigh also urged the local administration to make arrangements of uninterrupted power supply and ration to depots for the upcoming winter season.
