Distt level inter zonal tournament starts at Udhampur

Udhampur:District Youth Services & Sports Department Udhampur Thursday organized a District Level Inter Zonal tournament for all age groups –boys.
The event is being held under the overall patronage of Dr. Saleem – Ul Rehman, Director General of the department and under the supervision of S. Swarn Singh, District Youth Services & Sports officer Udhampur at GDC boys Udhampur.
Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, Convenor Govt. Degree College Udhampur was the chief guest, who declared the tournament open.
While addressing the gathering, the chief guest urged everyone to follow the guidelines of COVID-19 SOPs issued by the UT and the central Government from time to time. He advised the participants including field staff not to use plastic and put the slogan “Say No to Plastic”. He stressed upon to participate in such events and advised everyone to take part in sport activities to boost their immunity to fight against COVID-19.
Later, DYSSO Udhampur thanked the Principal GDC Udhampur Prof. Subash Chander for providing the venue.
Among others present were Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri , Physical Director, Shashi Kumar Sharma, ZPEO Udhampur, Santosh Kumari, ZPEO Jib, Poonam Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Anita Goswami, Ramesh Chander, Sanjeev Kumar, Karun Magotra, Jatin Sethi, Sanjeev Khajuria were also present.
