Srinagar: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin Thursday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress and implementation of various schemes executed by Rural Development Department (RDD).
During the meeting, DDC sought details from the concerned officers with regard to progress and execution of various schemes of Rural Development Department like MGNREGA etc. besides progress of works approved under 14th FC.
He sought the details of works completed as well as works under execution block-wise.
The DDC stressed on greater transparency in implementation of developmental works and set targets under various schemes especially under 14th FC besides making judicious use of funds.
He further directed all the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas and emphasized on adoption of more innovative methods in various schemes and involvement of common masses in the development process so that the set targets are achieved well in time.
The BDOs briefed the DDC about the physical and financial achievements pertaining to their concerned block and assured the chair of completing all pending works within the shortest possible time.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Ex. Engineer (REW), Block Development Officers and concerned officers were present in the meeting besides, BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanches and Panches also attended the meeting.
