Hakeem welcomes LG’s assurance on property tax, seeks spl economic package for ailing tourist, transport & horticulture sectors

Srinagar/Oct,19: Chairman People’s Democratic Front( PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Monday welcomed Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha for his assurance that no property tax would be levied in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued on Monday , Hakeem said that the assurance of LG on property tax was most heartening as it has removed apprehensions of the people in Jammu & Kashmir.Hakeem said that the financial position of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was already under tremendous tress and proposed property tax would have added to their fiscal woes.
Hakeem urged the Central Government to announce special package for ailing transport,tourism and horticulture sectors of Jammu and Kashmir which have been shattered due to unfavourable situation that has arisen after August 5,2019 moves in Jammu and Kashmir. He also sought immediate waiver of all the bank loans under KCC scheme.
