Deptt of Hospitality & Protocol hosts Capacity Building workshop for staff

Jammu: A two day Capacity Building program for the employees of Hospitality & Protocol (H&P) Jammu was Friday inaugurated by Director Hospitality & Protocol, Hashmat Ali Khan through Online Mode, here at Convention centre Jammu.
The two day program is being attended by sixty officers /officials of the Jammu division which include the Assistant Directors, Assistant Housekeepers, Receptionists, Catering Supervisors, Storekeepers, Cooks, Table boys etc.
The Capacity Building program has been organised in collaboration with M/s Indus EduTrain Pvt Ltd- a National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) empanelled vocational training partner with aim to impart Hard/ soft skills to the officials required in service sector, besides etiquettes, personal hygiene & hygiene in food production. The training endeavors to impart among the officials the best skills, knowledge of the latest trends, modern ways & techniques to ensure the Guest satisfaction.
The Director, H&P, while motivating the officials towards improvisation of their skills and services, said the program is organized with the objective of upgrading the skills of the staff of Hospitality & Protocol and imbibe in them a culture of courtesy, etiquettes and to inculcate an aptitude for problem solving and service, the safety and security parameters.
He encouraged all the participants to make the most out of this two days program which shall not only improve upon their skills but also enhance their efficiency so that the services of the department are at par with the best in the service sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director H&P, Jammu Ansuya Jamwal, articulated about the significance of such training and gave insights how the program has been devised keeping in mind all processes involved from Front office- role, functions and responsibilities including new trends to F&B- co ordination and cooperation among various departments, the training also includes Live Demonstration for the staff through Video-Conference from the finest practices in the industry so that they learn the latest and the best.
