Shopian: District Development Commissioner, Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, Friday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of ‘My Town My Pride’ program being held to listen and address the issues of people in Urban areas.
The DDC informed that ‘My town My Pride’ program shall be held at municipality town Shopian.
The DDC asked all the concerned officers to work in tandem and coordination so that people of the town get benefitted of the new initiative of the Government, envisaged to provide better service delivery and governance at the doorsteps of the people living in towns.
He exhorted upon all the concerned officers of important departments involved in public service delivery like issuance of domicile certificates, widow/disabled /old age pension, enrolment and up-dation of Aadhar and power supply, issuance of birth/ death certificate, sanction of loans to start-ups/ entrepreneurs by banks and others for setting up a dedicated stalls/Kiosk at the venue of the program.
The DDC also laid emphasis upon instilling a sense of confidence in the citizenry and ensured traction for the initiative among the masses.
He stressed upon evolving co-ordination with all the stakeholders viz. elected public representatives of ULBS for making the program successful.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and other concerned officers and officials.
