Hakeem welcomes release of Mehbooba, seeks release of other political detainees

Srinagar/Oct,14:- Chairman People’s Democratic Front( PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Wednesday welcomed release of Former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti. He has urged for release of all other political detenues of jammu and kashmir loged in and out side prisons.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hakeem while welcoming the release of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said the step would help to create a congenial atmosphere for restoration of a democratic and political process in jammu and kashmir. He has urged the Center to release all other political detenues of jammu and kashmir also so that a condusive atmosphere is created for restoration of democratic and political process which has been derailed after August 5 last year.
Hakeem urged the Center to initiate a meaningful political process for establishment of a civilian government in jammu and kashmir to fill up the prevailing void and dis- connect between common people and government. He has urged the Center to respect urges and aspirations of the people of jammu and kashmir to remove prevailing alienation among the people.
