Srinagar: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JK CSF) Ab Qayoom Wani on Monday asked the authorities to show non discriminatory rods in addressing the sufferings of students in Jammu & Kashmir and asked why to relieve students Jammu province with mass promotion and leave students of Kashmir valley in confusions over the conduct of examinations when students have suffered equally in lockdown and internet blockade.
In a statement issued here on Monday Wani said that one and all know it all that students became the first victims of the unfavorable circumstances due to lockdowns in 2019 after abrogation of article 370 and 35 A and then in 2020 when only schools had opened for 10 days and were shut again amid COVID 19 breakout which continues unabated till now.
Wani said the irony of the situation was that online classes in Jammu and Kashmir were started very late and above all the low internet speed affected the very spirit of the online classes. Wani said that in both the provinces students suffered equally but it was sheer injustice to treat them differently by virtue of giving mass promotion to students Jammu province and asking Kashmir students to take exams which has induced exam fear among them. Wani urged the authorities that Kashmir students particularly of class 11th should be give mass promotion on the analogy of Jammu students of 11th class because the students are already protesting for the same on the roads to vent out their fear and anger.
