Former JK minister dies at 69

Jammu: Senior Congress leader and former minister Muhammad Sharief Naiz, a close associate of Ghulam Nabi Azad, died in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu on Monday afternoon. He was 69.
Many people including politicians, social workers, youth and religious leaders expressed condolences.
Naiz is remembered for taking various developmental and pro-people steps for the overall development of Bhaderwah constituency during his tenure as Power and Law minister.
“Deeply pained by the passing away of veteran Congress leader & former Minister, Mohd Sharief Naiz ji. He served the Bhaderwah constituency in several capacities including the teacher, MLA, MLC and remained minister of Law and Power Development Department. He distinguished himself as an effective Minister and Member Legislative assembly,” Advocate Muhammad Majid Malik from Bhaderwah tweeted
