CB arrests absconder fraudster for forging fake appointment orders

Jammu: Crime Branch Jammu on Saturday claimed to have arrested absconding fraudster, who is involved in forging fake appointment orders and cheating unemployed youth. The fraudster has past conduct of 9 (Nine) FIRs against him and one arrest warrant under section 512 CrPC pending against him.
“In consecutive fifth raid in the current year Crime Branch Jammu arrested Abdul Hamid Dar @Zahid S/O Sana-Ullah Dar R/o Village Kalantra P/S Kareeri Baramulla A/P HMT Opposite Hr. Sec. School Zainakot Srinagar in case FIR No. 28/2015 U/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC being a prime accused in fake appointment racket in Army,” CB Jammu said in a statement issued on Saturday.
The statement added that innocent gullible unemployed youth were duped of their hard earned money by the fraud gang. “The arrested cheat was not cooperating in the investigation of the instant case and was constantly absconding to evade his arrest by changing his locations frequently,” the statement said.
A written complaint was lodged in Crime Branch Jammu by one Radhy Sham, son of Chuni Lal of village Kanah Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua, alleging therein that in the year 2009 complainant came into contact with one Swarn Lal, son of Daya Ram of Village Mahesha Chak Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua who introduced himself to be a Govt. employee and brother of an Army officer and told the complainant that he can arrange jobs in the Territorial Army in lieu of Rs.1.5 lacs per person, it added.
“As many as twelve unemployed persons were allured by the accused Swarn Lal to pay him Rs. 50,000/- per head as advance and Rs. 1 lakh after getting appointment order and a huge amount was extorted by the accused person along with accused Hamid Dar from unemployed youths at Dayala Chak Hiranagar District Kathua and after that at Srinagar also,” the statement said.
The accused is a habitual offender and notorious criminal who operates with his associates by adopting same modus operandi and 8 cases are found to be registered against the said gang in various Police Stations of J&K viz (1) FIR No. 62/2012 P/S Maisuma Srinagar (2) FIR No. 36/2014 P/S Crime Branch Kashmir (3) FIR No. 27/2015 P/S Crime Branch Jammu (4) FIR No. 15/2016 P/S Crime Branch Kashmir (6) FIR No. 65/2016 U/S Crime Branch Kashmir (7) FIR No. 124/2017 P/S Ram Munshi Bagh, Srinagar and (8) FIR No.7/2019 Crime Branch Kashmir. More complaints are likely to come forth.
On receipt of complaint a preliminary enquiry was initiated and allegations were prima-facie substantiated and the instant case was registered at P/S Crime Branch Jammu against (1) Swarn Lal S/O Daya Ram R/O Mahesha Chak Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua (2) Abdul Hamid Dar S/O Sana-Ullah Dar R/O Village Kalantra District Baramula A/P HMT Zainakot opposite Hr. Sec School Srinagar and others
