Ang: The Phase 3rd of governments ambitious ‘Back to Village’ programme concluded Saturday with mass participation of public and public representatives including BDC’s , Panches , Sarpanches and civil society members in the district.
During the programme, the designated visiting officers remained available at their respective places, they listened to and drafted the demands raised by the people in Gram Sabha, Darbars and other back to village related activities.
The DDC while visiting the Panchayat Halqas of most of the blocks assured the public to ease their problems taking the visiting officers in confidence and instructed the officials to draft the plan as per the demands raised by the public during B2V3 programme.
Various works were inaugurated and foundations were laid for the works identified during B2V1, and B2V2 as per the priority and need of the people.
As a part of the programme to incline the youth towards sports, sports kits were also distributed in each halqa for which Rs 20000 were spared out of Rs. 10 lac meant to meet the immediate demands of the area. Moreover, PMAY households were given kitchen kits to ease their ‘Grah Pravaish’.
Meanwhile ADC Anantnag, Gh. Hassan Sheikh Saturday chaired a meeting of presiding and polling officers for the upcoming Panchayat / Municipal By-Elections.
The master trainer imparted necessary training regarding submission and filling of presiding officers diary deployed to various polling stations.
It is pertinent to mention here that 137 sarpanch and 2000 panch vacancies are to be filled in the upcoming By-Elections through voting in 2093 polling stations.
The meeting was attended by ACD, DPO and other election officers.
