Last Person to Enter Jannah

When Allah – the Elevated – finishes judging between the servants, and wants to remove whoever he wills from the hellfire with his mercy; He orders the angels to remove those who do not associate any partners with Allah from the hellfire, those who say; there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. The angels would recognize them from the marks of prostration [on their foreheads], for the fire burns everything of the child of Adam except the marks of prostration – Allah has prohibited the hellfire from burning them. So they would emerge from the hellfire having been burnt, the water of life would be poured over them, and they would sprout and grow like a seed in the soil at the side of a stream. Then Allah would have finished judging between the servants, and there would be one man remaining, facing the fire, and he would be the last of the people of Jannah to enter Jannah. He would say: “My Lord, turn me away from the Fire, for indeed its smell has tormented me, and its heat has scorched me.” So he would call upon his Lord for as long as Allah wills, then Allah – the Exalted – would say: If I were to grant that for you, would you ask for anything else? He would say: “I will not ask you for anything else.” He would pledge and vow to his Lord as much as much as Allah wills, until Allah turns his face away from the fire. So when he faces Jannah and sees it, he becomes silent for as long as Allah wills. He then says: “My Lord, bring me closer to Jannah!” Allah – the Elevated – would say: Have you not given vows and oaths that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I have given you. Woe to you child of Adam, how deceitful you are. He calls: “O my Lord!” And continues to call upon Allah until Allah says: If I were to grant that for you, would you ask for anything else? He would respond: “By Your Glory, I will not!” He would pledge and vow to his Lord as much as much as Allah wills, until Allah places him at the Gate of Jannah. When he stands at the gate, Jannah would become visible to him, and he would see the joy and goodness in it. He would remain silent for as long as Allah wills, he would then say: “My Lord, allow me to enter Jannah!” Allah – the Glorified – would say: Have you not given vows and oats that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I have given you. Woe to you child of Adam, how deceitful you are. He would say: “My lord, let me not be the most miserable of Your creation!” He would continue to call upon Allah until Allah that smiles at him. When Allah smiles, He says: Enter Jannah! When he enters, Allah says to him: Make a wish. So he continues to ask of Allah and make wishes, Allah even reminds him saying: Wish for this and that . When all his desires are depleted, Allah says to him: It is yours and the likes of it with it. Abu Sa’eed said: “And ten times the likes of it!” ‘Atta ibn Yazeed said: “Abu Sa’eed is like Abu Hurayrah, nothing from his Ahadeeth are rejected, even when Abu Hurayrah narrated the Hadeeth he said: Allah says to that man: And like it [with it]. Abu Sa’eed then said: “And ten times the likes of it Abu Hurayrah!” Abu Hurayrah responded: “I have not memorized except His saying: ‘It is yours and the likes of it with it.'” Abu Sa’eed said: “I bear witness that I memorized from the Messgenger of Allah – صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – his statement: “It is yours and ten times the likes of it with it.” ” Abu Hurayrah then said: “And that is the last of the people of Jannah to enter Jannah!.” Sahih Al-Bukhari, Reference: 6571, Grade: Sahih
